I have a feeling its both in a weird sort of way and Spike saving the day with a lie I think that's is still in the equation of saving Rarity well shall see in the last panel of this awesome comic.

Probably the oddest thing to say now, but.......when did Rarity get earrings? xD I honestly didn't notice until now. For some reason, those look like they would've hurt to get. And I have earrings!
