If you ask any Borsite how it was that they came to the faith, many of their stories will have similar elements: they're outsiders, typically more free-spirited and liberated in an otherwise repressive, often theocratic society. They live life on the fringes. As a result, the Borsite church often exists on the fringes; a temple may be a priest's home or even an outdoor rendezvous area. A congregation is a motley assortment of races and classes, drawn together by love of music, poetry, acting, art and of course, pleasure.

Vrugar Wegermax is no exception. She was a half-orc born to a survivor of a raid on the Broken Sword Barbarian Tribe. The tribe's elders considered Vrugar's birth an ill omen, and she was often regarded with suspicion even within her own tribe. Her mother raised Vrugar to disregard the ignorance of prejudiced men, and the wildlands made her strong. When she came of age, she joined the hunting parties, and her skill with an axe brought her esteem amongst her fellow hunters. She was eventually accepted into the tribe. When an illness claimed her mother's life, she had lost the only tie that bound her to the tribe, and she left to seek adventure on her own.

Vrugar met with only more prejudice when she arrived in the cities, but the lessons her mother taught her spurred her on. A trip to a brothel one evening informed her of the Borsites, and she was intrigued by them. She converted before long and was hand-selected by Bors Fortinbras to serve in his Elite Guard after he heard of her strength and bravery. It was on Ossinia that she befriended Namli Axcker, a Dwarven warrior, and the pair have been Lovers ever since. When not sparring with Namli in the woods of Ossinia, she weaves elegant and striking tapestries, a craft her mother taught her when she was a child.

Whew, this one took more time that I would have liked, but given the amount of detail her muscles and tattoos required... I'm pretty proud of the result nonetheless.

Think you can tame this wild woman? ;)
