Personality: Rhythm is a very serious pony who generally likes one thing and one thing only, and that is work. Anything that could distract her from her work is bad. She isnt one for fun, for small talk, or just hanging out - she believes that are always things to be done. She also has a very black and white view on crime, good poneis do good things and bad ponies do bad things, there is no grey area in-between. She is strong, stern, and like sot keep to herself. Despite her rough personality at first look she genuinely cares for the ponies of Ponyville and specifically has a soft spot for foals. She is secretly jealous of pegasi and unicorns. She keeps impossibly high standards for herself and can sometimes get upset when she fails to meet them.

History: Rhythm a Cappella was born to a pair of guards in Baltimare. As a young filly she always completely devoted herself to whatever it was she was currently doing, though she had a very short attention span and often switched hobbies. When she got her cutiemark in singing, however, that became the one focus of all her spare time. Whens eh finished school her only dream was to be accepted the the best musical school in the land, The Canterlot Royal Music conservatory. The first time she auditioned for entrance she was turned down, though crushed she didnt let it stop her enthusiasm for music. She made herself practice twice as hard and aced next years audition.

She chose to focus her time on her studies rather than spending time with other ponies, and as a result she graduated with honors as the second of her class - though she had made almost no contacts in her field. Upon her exit she found that she was unable to get a job due to either no experience or not knowing the right ponies. She knew she had to earn money some how so she followed her parents hoofsteps and joined the royal guard. She has since been transferred to Ponyville where she is a Lt. in the local regimented of guards.
