A self made reference image of Mrs. Elizabeth Brisby to help keep me consistent with her design and appearance.

I have to admit that while trying to craft my own flavor of Brisby, I have diverged on some of her design aspects that with reflection, looks awful, so I made this for myself to keep me consistent with my latest attempt at making a Steam Punk Air Pirate version of her as seen in center image.

Now while I made this for myself, I kinda thought others could find this useful, so here's my ref for anyone interested. =D

Very very nice! I think it's important to keep a bit if your own style in the character. I drew her the other day just to see if I still could. I was quite happy with what came out. But honestly, I've never been able to get her exactly on model with Bluth.

Awe thank you! I can't count the number of attempts nor hours I spent trying to at least grasp Don's styling, but it wasn't until I saw his posted vid on youtube about how he envisions Brisby being drawn that it clicked in my head. XD

Some of these scribbles you can see that I tried to combine too much of my own styling into her, and it sort of didn't pan out. XDD But I finally did manage to reach a blend that I liked (center of image) and I'm aiming to use that sort of blend with Brisby from now on when it comes to my own fan-verse of NIMH. =D

Wow, thanks for that link! I'm not sure I'd ever seen Bluth draw Mrs. Brisby before. I thought that was really neat that he uses all upward strokes for facial features. Makes sense as to how he's able to make her features the way they are. I kind of construct her face in a similar fashion, but using completely different pencil strokes.

You're welcome Chuck! I stumbled across that youtube by chance some time ago... can't remember when or how I came across it, but I bookmarked it, and I figured since you're another NIMH and Bluth fan, I had to share that with you. =D
