forgot to post this sketch (time limit argh) I don’t know their names yet - something as simple as Thundercrack for the oni, though I want a shorter name. she’s lightning-fast, destructively strong, loud and rude. does some of the same damage a thunderstorm might. she lacks horns, but was born with rock hard hooves instead. breaks the sound barrier causing sonic booms, same as a thundercrack. has electricity powers. she’s an oni, so she’s wild and unrestrained, enjoys the rush and impact of her power and has a taste for chaos. she is a lot like a thunderstorm at heart - it doesn’t set out to hurt anyone, but it doesn’t take care not to. she’s like an extreme mischief maker, much in the spirit of Susanowo (but just like the deity, she has the potential for some redemption). and she’s grown up among oni, where only the strong and vicious survive. there are family bonds among her people, but they are highly performance based and rather crass.

got no lead on dog girl’s name, but it’s the kind of name you might give a pet. Iiko or something... lol. she’s a sort of spirit being, but her powers aren’t as obvious as Thunder’s, more constructive and protective. she may be able to fully disguise herself as a human. (something Thunder can’t, not for complete lack of potential but because she never bothered to learn.) she’s more insightful and deductive than Thunder. she’s got a great mind, she’s just too insecure and shy to speak it most of the time.

she’s got a human ”host family” who tend to a small shrine, and who see her true nature. (to visitors, she appears as a regular mutt) she acts as a guardian for the shrine grounds. she had a bad start with abusive people, before she came to her current home; this is what caused her to be so timid. she wants to please people, she’s a pack animal, she feels strongly for family.
