Every now and then, some would-be Grinch decides to try and Ruin Christmas by directly attacking Santa's Workshop to try and take him out.

When that happens, they inevitably discover that Santa's Elves are descended from the same race that produced the likes of Legolas, D'rizzt Do'urden, or Cutter of the Wolf Riders. They may be small, but that just means they get a +1 to their AC and Attack Bonuses. The same craftsmen skill that goes toward making the world's finest toys can also be used to construct deadly weapons (sometimes one and the same, depending on the type of toy). And polar bears and northern wolves are always a handy way of disposing of bodies...
