This is a final profile for the undead warrior Fiorla. She is a German Shepherd ex-paladin who was beheaded in battle while attacking a city of the undead, and as a result rose back up as undead herself, faced with the loss of any and all divine favor because of the circumstances of her "resurrection." And yes, her head is detachable because of how she died.

This picture was done by The Broken Monkey at DeviantArt (http://thebrokenmonkey.deviantart.com/) also known as Huevo Revueltos on Fur Affinity (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/huevosrevueltos/). The text is entirely my work, however.

What do you mean "lost all divine favor" ... Once a palladin always a palladin! She should just go with it and join the order of the fallen.

You know the saying, "join the dark side, get a free cookie."

The undead still like cookies, right?

She's a shepherd, I bet she'd die for a cookie.
Wait ...  yeah, nevermind. Give her the cookie already!

Well, in her world, one cannot simply change/abandon religions on a whim. She does not want to betray a god she grew up worshiping by turning over to a perceived enemy god, but she does need to learn that the undead are still people and not as evil as she has been lead to believe.

The loss of divine favor really just means she lost the cool Paladin powers and is very unlikely to get them back in her current state.

Yer god hathforsaken thee.

I have a feeling, she is going to have a nasty surprise ( or not so much a surprise) when she meets some of her former brethren and sisters - and finds out she wasn't the only one in her religion powered hubris. That her former brothers in arms would be all too willing to end her undead life permanently, properly, and with.delusions of doing her a favor by saving her soul- or whatever that order calls that.

It will take a conscous effort to rather want to continue to exist and abandon the ideals that previously caused her to slaughter the innocent. But lets be honest. Deep down, she has already made that decision.

Once you start questioning the dogma and the teachings and the self-righteous attitude of the leaders of the order, its only a small step to also question the integrity of the god she worshipped all her life.

Is it the god who is at fault? Or just only almost every single follower in their blinded spree. Who would even fight warning voices among their own ranks as heretics. And if it is the latter, how would that god let it happen and grant them divine powers to commut their deeds?

Maybe her outside position will give her the insight that her precious order and the fallen legion are really not that different. Deep down, they are both driven by their hunger for power and greed.

Unlike her former brethren, the fallen would gladly accept a convert. But then again, you are right, their cause is not one she could approve.

Maybe there is another deity who might grant her powers. Not those to kill and smite, but those to heal and protect.
If the gods of light and darkness fight their childish battle, maybe she could turn to the goddess who doesn't care who and what you are, only what you do.
