The joke in the game to my understanding was her sisters teasing her about being a boy. There is some ambiguous meaning weather or not she is a he or not.... BUT taking in the Japaneses factor, I wouldn't bet money on her being a girl^^

I don't see why it'd be such a bad thing to have Vivian as a male, which I really think is the case considering the Japanese text. We NEED more homosexual characters, transgender characters, and just plain pretty males to be expressed in a positive light in the media, because it's never there. We don't need more bland characters that are common to find in everything else in my opinion. I love the idea of Vivian being male, it's more unique and boys can be just as pretty. Not trying to be rude or anything~ .-.

Seems pointless to me to even discuss the concept of gender on a character that doesn't even exist to begin with. I can tell you what the gender of any character is in a given work of art. Whatever the fuck the artist wanted it to be at the time. Nothing more, nothing less.
