"This eyes isn't special blessing. It's deformity....It's curse...Seeing only heat all the time isn't fun at all..."

*Emergency Data* : Dragon like Spike. They have an eyes just like snake who have 2 sets of eyes, one that sees color pretty well and one set that detect heat and “see” living creatures like an infrared detector. There is no getting away from a snake once you’re spotted. That closed door won’t help. The night won't help.

Spike can swap his eyes between those sets of eyes freely. But Sparity born with only infrared detector eyes. She need to wear glasses all the time. So she can look everything normal like everypony.

Warning : a lot of 4th wall breaking and referencing. Sharing universe with "To Love God - To Love Mortal" but in the future and more crazy. *You don't need to read "To Love God - To Love Mortal" to understand this story. It's just have many Easter egg for that story here.*

Snakes don't have 2 sets of eyes. The ones that can "see" heat are ones like pit vipers.

Take a cold shower or jump into a cold lake - the infrared signature drops to Zero for up to 15 minutes. Eating Ice Cream or Flavored Shaved Ice (Iciees in NYC) will drop your core temperature and its IR Signature but you're still visible in IR. Drinking a Sugary cold Drink makes it worse, makes your core temp hotter as your body breaks down the sugar immediately.

Yeah - I did the research back in the late 1980s.

At first, I thought She sees Amnesia-Equestria...Infrared vision only is a fine limitation, when it is beaten with the wearing of special glasses. And She rocks those glasses! She's kind of hot! ♥

I can't help wondering if she got anything else..like sense of smell or maybe even breathing a little fire that would be awesome!...Though her being a filly would have been a nightmare...everything would have caught fire.

Sparity's infra-vision is very well depicted. I guess in a sense, it's a kind of X-ray vision in that she could see people hiding behind trees or other cool objects.
