Birch thought this song would fit Stargazer's voice, pretty well.
Stargazer, on the other hand, being the logical person he is, was too pedantic in his singing of it, concentrating on the rhythm as written on the sheet music.
Birch ended up tossing the music away and telling Star just to sing it from his heart.
