Another one of Mythos Solutions' BattleMechs, the Brute is essentially one of Mythos' security units. Massing 50 tons and running on a standard 250-rated fusion reactor, the Brute relies on banks of medium lasers, with a single ER Large Laser allowing it to plink away at anyone able to outrun its top running speed of 81 kph. It is also jump capable, allowing it to get within brawling range. The high heat curve is also beneficial to it, as it also has triple-strength myomers: this allows the Brute to melee its way through its obstacles at double its normal strength. It also has hardened armor in the head only (the rest of the armor is standard plate), letting it take jabs back.
