The first time Nicholas stayed the night at Janine's was the first time they really got to know one another. For some reason, the idea of Nicholas being from a Catholic background was one Janine hadn't really seen coming.

This was about two months of on-and-off work. I decided to finish it finally because I needed some "me" time in between commissions, and if I didn't sit down and make myself finish it, it would never get done.

I paint over photographs. It takes a few weeks because of the work that goes into making the characters seem painted into the scene, rather than on top of it, but the end result is much better than trying to do it all by hand.
