Katanezumi is a type of rodent subspecies with a blade-like tail tip. It has some rodent-ike features like kangaroo-rat design, squirrel ears and mouse head. They are originated from the modern Japanese folklore (urban legend) in which they are trained to pose a threat to the even cute felines. Katanezumi is a pun of "katana", one of the Japanese swords, and "nezumi", a Japanese term for mice or rats.
Layers of mask colors - Katanezumis have at max two colors on their masks, but they are usually one color. Double color-faced Katanezumis also exist, but are rare.
Blade-like rodent ears: This is a must-have, although they can have inner-ears exposed.
Blade-like tail-tip - This is very important. While blades may vary from different designs, Their common uses are weapon-like, posing a threat to most animals.
Two-tone bodies - Most Katanezumis are two-toned, though single-toned Katanezumis are rare. The two tones may vary from similar shades to drastically different colors.
Aside from these important features, your Katanezumi can have tattoos, decorative items, special hair, or some sort of genetic mutation.
I'm also making a Sonic OC based on this.
You can make your Katanezumi as your fursona, selling designs as adopts or auction thing, or even breeding. Remember to credit me for this design!
