Thank goodness I remembered the title for this one! It was when a new pizzeria opened in Greenwich Village. 2 slices and a drink for $2! And the pizza was GOOD! ^^
On the ovens they used was the word ATTIAS, so I incorporated that into my stream-of-consciousness title.

If only pizza was that cheap in California! :P Well, "Attias" befitted the Native American feel of the song, so I'd say it was a good match. :) I kept misremembering it as "Attias Syracuse", but I did remembert the thumbnail, like the song, had an Indian chief's profile... Personally, I prefer the current nose-beepable bandanna'd black wolf avatar image for the cover art for your MP3s... :)

If you could furnish me the list of 'tags' you currently have for your mp3's, send them over to me, and I'll take the herculean task of recalling the names I bestowed them. Not easy when all the original names were wiped (thanks a heap, fa).
You mean the one I'm using here? :) That's from the animated avatar https://www.furaffinity.net/user
The avatar: ;) I simply swiped it from a previous post here on IB of yours, but yes, the one currently used for your recent MP3 posts, including this one, is what I use as album art. :)
I don't have most of your MP3s tagged, just the ones on my iPod... And since "Attias", "No Cross-Pollination" (which I have both versions- original and extended re-edit) and "Knock 3 Times" are taken care of, that remains...
"Beyond" ("Broadcasting House" intro; 5:33 mix of "Night of Fear") "Blend" ("The Happening", with reversed "Bohemian Rhapsody" in intro) "Enmesh" (Okie's loss of a loved one; reggae loop that I forget who/where from, rap with chorus" of "Don't stop, we've got to rock"-- This piece always makes me cry... Just beautiful!) "I Prevail" ("With a Little Help from my Friends") "Night of Fear" (Well, that's the title you use on SoFurry-- This is the 2:44 "Night of Fear" with Bee-Gees-like disco mix) "Virus" ("God Only Knows" & "I'm Coming Out" with "God hates fags" intro)
I got too much on my iPod... ;) I shoulda gotten a bigger one than 16GB! Got about 300MB space left... :P

Ah, the wheels are turning again!! ^^ "Virus In The Cornfield" is my Gay Furry Pride mix (the 'god hates fags' one). The "Enmesh" melody is from Bob Marley's "Thank You Lord", the first version.
I need to re-label my nearly-1000 mixes for easier reference. I plan to use simpler titles so I can cross-reference them easier. The crazy titles are wonderful, but after a while, I'd forget which mix is which! :P
I need to clean out my storage unit eventually. On one of The Move CD's I bought, there's a link to a secret Move web page, which is where I found the acapella to "Night Of Fear."
I've accumulated some more rare acapellas recently. Never thought I'd EVER find an acapella for Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" but I did!! Made an interesting mix with that one. ;)

Ah, good-- I know I have "Thank You Lord" somewhere in my old Limewire files, I just couldn't place the title or artist. :) And that's two down tonight, with the track names retagged on my iPod. :) (I just leave both "album" and "artist" as "Lupine Assassin"- Easy to keep track of. ;) )
:)

You'll also notice what I've had to do when I post them here. For some reason, my original mp3 files error out here, so I convert them to wav using dbpoweramp, then re-convert to 320-bitrate mp3 via AVS Audio Converter. Lotta backnforth involved, but it works! ;)
I just downloaded a rare instrumental version of The Monkees' "Porpoise Song" (GOTTA love Carole King!!), so that could be a very interesting potential sampling source. :D

No, I hadn't noticed the MP3s-- When I uploaded the extended "No Cross-Pollination", I used the original file you emailed me waybackwhen, and the upload was find... *shrug*
I don't think that many today truly appreciate what Carole King did both as a songwriter and as a performer in terms of females in pop music-- She was no fluff, even when it was a love song.
I've got a few versions of "Porpoise Song" across my various Monkees CDs, though I'm not sure if one is the instrumental version.

The instrumental "Porpoise" isn't on any CD; it's on a bonus 45 included in the "Head" deluxe edition. People say what they will about the film, but let this be known: the film is a work of maverick genius! Kudos to Rafelson and Nicholson for having the balls to make it! Criterion reissued the movie on DVD recently, too.
I've loved Carole King since I was in first grade (circa 1975) when they played the "Really Rosie" soundtrack for us. WOW! That album and the accompanying animated film are two of my absolute faves ever!! In 1967, she released a killer 45 on the Tomorrow label called "A Road To Nowhere." Absolutely DEVASTATING song! And I'm happy to say she's a member of the tribe (Jewish) like I am. ;)
Another singer/songwriter I worship is Graham Gouldman, another of the greatest songsmiths alive today and a member of the tribe as well. He loves using minor chords for his songs, which he picked up from rabbis in his hometown. "For Your Love", "Heart Full Of Soul", "Bus Stop", "You Stole My Love", "I'm Not In Love", and of course the amazing work he did for "Animalympics" in 1980. And let's not forget the amazing 10cc! GOD! The classic lineup of Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Lol Creme and Kevin Godley. Critics hated them for being too good and too smart. Over 200 vocals used for "I'm Not In Love", one of the greatest songs ever commissioned to tape. A YouTube video of how the song was made was posted recently (it's since been removed). But I have it saved!! :D
Praise whoever for granting me the gift of music appreciation. I'd be dead without it! :P

*holds up a German DVD of Animalympics, region 0 with stereo English track- Yes, I really do have it!* I, too, am a 10cc fan-- I finally have all the 10cc studio albums, both Wax albums, but only 3 of the Godley & Creme albums- including History Mix Vol. 1. :)

The ending of "Cry" creeped me out tho, with all those sped-up voices. That killed the whole song for me. Wow, you got a DVD of "Animalympics"? Legit or boot? I downloaded a free copy of the film from http://www.veoh.com
I also have all the recordings Eric, Lol & Kevin made as Hotlegs. "Neanderthal Man" was a fluke hit for them, and yes I've sampled it too!

I had a different feeling with the ending of "Cry"-- I felt it emphasised the sadness of the song.
Yes, legit-- It's released by a German company (Winklerfilm/AL!VE, 2007/2010). The quality is only fair, and a couple chapters, the stereo drops back to mono, then back to stereo... But it has been on Amazon.de since '08, and I've seen it on the distributor's website. I bought it on eBay, as the postage from Germany was only slightly cheaper. It's under the title "Dschungel-Olympiade", and the title panel in the movie also uses this title- The only part of the animation actually in German. It even has an EAS barcode (European version of our UPC barcode), so yes, I'd say legit.
It even has an interview with Steve Lisberger, too.
"Neanderthal Man" is one of the most brilliant recordings they ever did.

My copy of "Animalympics" is very good. Taken from the original Warner Home Video release (the famous cartoon W logo, one of my fave openings ever). Hotlegs' non-album b-side, "You Didn't Like It Because You Didn't Think Of It" (ultimately included in the 3rd version of their album in 1976) is another fave of mine. The vocals sound suspiciously like Jackie Lomax', especially the 'can't keep a good man down' line. I assume it was Lol singing that one. What a shock when I found Lol joined Art Of Noise in 1999! AON is one of my biggest influences ever. It's safe to say that if Anne Dudley didn't win the Oscar for scoring "The Full Monty", she wouldn't have reformed the group. ZTT FOREVER!! ^^
I have Lol & Kevin's "Consequences" on my external HD. Not an easy listen, but fascinating nonetheless (I sampled the goldfish/suicide line from the album on an earlier mix). Perhaps the most mind-blowing discovery I ever made was when I was 8 years young at a local library, and rented Carla Bley & Paul Haines' "Escalator Over The Hill" strictly on impluse (the gold-leaf cover caught my eye). Upon hearing track 2, "This Is Here....", my mind was ripped wide open!! The heaviest and most brilliant jazz album ever made!! Years later, I got in touch with the film director who filmed the sessions and managed to get a DVD of his film. Amazing stuff. That film is in my drive also; lemme know if you want a copy.
