these were crafted as Birthday gifts.
“He’s not natural. Have you seen his eyes? Silver isn’t a normal color. I’ve never seen a pony whose entire eye is colored either. He’s also a lot wiser than a pony his age has any right to be. He’s hiding something, and I don’t like it one bit.”
…. “I apologize, I’ve had a lot on my mind recently. Helping the Crusaders with their schoolwork, helping Rarity with her fashion lines, keeping Luna appraised of my progress, helping several distraught ponies with personal problems…” he spread his forehooves. “I’m just a pegasus, I don’t know what draws them to confide in me.”
“Maybe it has something to do with your talent?” Pinkie suggested. She cast a quick glance at his flank and saw the white sigil that somewhat resembled a mix between a cross and a fleur-de-lis.
“My special talent is part of the reason you’ve never been able to catch me,” Midnight replied. Pinkie Pie stared at him in confusion. He went on.
“My special talent is to be a nopony. I can fade from your perception and you’d never be able to pick me out of a crowd.”
~Midnight’s description from Twi’s fan fic of Fragments
We were having a conversation and he was showing me refs of Midnight as a earth pony, Pegasus and a unicorn so I got the idea to save the refs and do a set of 3 tiny painted pony figures from generation 4 McDonald’s FIM Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack and Rarity figures.
About a day’s worth of work went into the matching set of 3 Midnight Runner customs, and they were very carefully and lovingly painted. Brushed on a base layer of Gesso on all of the ponies prior to painting.
Started with the white hooves, then the charcoal black body paintings. Then did a base coat of coral red for the red portions of the manes, then metallic red, then a bright solid red over top.
For the white stripes, did base layers of light gray, then beachcomber beige gloss acrylics, then antique white, metallic white pearl, then a stark solid white.
Then painted the eyes and muzzles.
All paint work is sealed in Artists Varnish.
Tails are RetrodollUS’s nylon red hair in the color Uluru, and white saran in the color Frost Bite. Tails knotted, then pinned into the tail holes of the ponies.
White pony, Noon Walker- Crafted from a generation 4 Rainbow Dash. Pony brushed in a base layer of Gesso, started with the black hooves then several layers of acrylic paints building up to white.
Cutie mark is a combination between the Kingdom Hearts Nobody symbol and a Fleur de Lis. Hand-painted as well as the muzzle and eyes. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors black magic, bobby blue and blue belle.
