As soon as the ship hovered low enough, the Mako was dropped from the Nomrandy. Two tons of unbreakable, un-flip-on-backable metal, built in with a machine gun and a cannon, dropped down onto the surface. The Turian inside boosted the mini-jets, hovering down to the ground and letting the vehicle settle as the Normandy flew away, out of orbit. Nirvanna checked all of his sensors, his Omni-tool, and the Mako's ammo capacity, unsurprised it was unlimited, and put his foot down on the pedal, speeding away in the six-wheeled treaded vehicle, smirking. So far, so good.
The planet Nirvanna had landed on was lush and green, like an endless plain of grass that rose up in hills and mountains. He noticed, unfortunately, he had jetted a bit too far and ended up in a pit, surrounded by high mountains. Putting the Mako to the test he drove forward, the treads on the tires clinging to the side of the mountain and pulling up the vehicle. The going was slow, incredibly slow, but when the Mako cleared to top and drove over to the other side, the Turian smiled and chuckled. "Looks like he wasn't kidding, this thing can go over anything." he said. He was about to find out just how true that was. As he drove across the near-endless plains, his sensors detected life movements. That was strange, because these planets were supposed to be completely undiscovered. He drove towards the signs, wondering what could possibly already be here that hadn't sent out signals or discovered the relay yet. As he topped another hill he stopped, looking through the viewport. He mused on what he saw, as though he couldn't believe it all. In a valley just on the other side of the mountain were towering flowers, what looked like dandelions but with razor-sharp prickly leaves, and pine-needles running up the sides. The flower's petals were a deep purple color, orange stripes racing all over the petals like zebra stripes. Nirvanna got ready for ambush, since who knew what was hiding in those towering, five-story weeds. All his scanners said was that they were red.....which meant enemies. He held his hand over the machine gun and cannon triggers, and drove forward slowly, down the side of the mountain into the forest of horrible alien weeds.
As he drove, Nirvanna couldn't find life anywhere. His scanners showed he should be right on top of them, but found nothing. He drove in and out of the weed forest. Occasionaly, he'd see smaller weeds, looking like thick cattails but with thorns and alien roses blooming off the sides, and took great care not to run these down, for fear of leaving tracks for whatever was stalking him to track him should he try and escape to surprise them. He kept driving for a half hour, circling, zigzagging, and going straight, before he drove out of the weeds. He turned the machinegun around, ready to drive as soon as life showed itself, and squeezed the trigger softly. The machinegun sprayed it's bullets all over, the Turian turning the head so the bullets would cover everywhere. The stalks of the towering weeds turned nearly to mulch as bullets sprayed into them, and Nirvanna felt a small twinge of regret as they all tilted over on their weakened bases. He eased on the trigger, and the bullets stopped. Now there were rumbling noises, and he prepared himself for anything......except what happened next. Thick tendrils of grass suddenly rushed out of the jungle, the long blades of grass like tentacles. They wrapped around the Mako's tires and began to pull it back into the weeds, where the rumbling sound began to grow more pronounced. Nirvanna floored it, the tires squeeling and ripping the blades of grass before shooting the Makko forwards. The rumbling grew more pronounced, and suddenly, the small cattail weed with the roses and thorns ripped themselves from the ground, turing over so the roots were their head. The roses were some sort of huge hand-pods, and as soon as they had ripped themselves from the ground they flung themselves at the Mako. Nirvanna simply sped onwards, trying to decide whether he was dreaming or not, since weeds didn't just pull up and attack. He decided against trying to prove it, and gave the Mako another pedal-flooring, speeding it across the plains. Two of the five-story weeds ripped themselvesup as well, chunks of dirt being shaken from their rooty heads. They floated slower, but they were much larger, so they made up for it. The bladed leaves slashed forward, and Nirvanna blasted one with the cannon, turning it to mulch. He kept think this had to be a dream. Things happened so suddenly after he shot the weeds, things like this didn't just happen. He continued to fire the Mako forward, the weeds barreling through the air after him, and he just kept shooting and blasting behind him, never letting up.
After an hour of being chased, Nirvanna made it into a cave, the Mako heading deep inside. The weeds squeezed in, and he shot enough of them to make a barrier of sorts out of the bodies. He got out, shaking his head, and walked deeper into the cave. He turned his Omni-tool on, the glow casting some light, and tried to contact Sovereign. The cave was giving off interference however, so he just sat on a rock and waited, toying with commands in the omni-tool to see if there was anything useful within it. He got back in the Mako, and shook his head. "This is possibly the oddest day of my life." he said, and drove deeper into the cave.
