I have seen rabbits in my neighborhood. They all have a psychotic glare in their eyes and bolt if approached. They try such tricks as a zigzag run and remaining very still. That doesn't fool dogs, tho.
If pursuit persists, they then run non-stop. I don't know how man domesticated the rabbit as even babies don't tame.
