This was the first piece of a few redesigns I did of Lafitte. Originally her design had more snake to it and was far less descript. The first change I made, shown off in this image, was a crocodilian tail. I would later do more to make her crocodilian, most notably replacing the cheek slits (taken from some snake or another, I think it was) with a crocodile grin. I liked the idea that she always appeared to be smiling and it was convenient that I could still have that with a crocodile design.
