Easily one of the most cliche and well known concepts for Halloween. You can't go far without seeing several during this time of year and why not? They completely embody both the harvest and fear, hell 'SCARE' is in the name, and honestly I just love them. Seriously, they're one of, if not my favorite... can you call them monsters? Eh, for the sake of argument I will; monsters and themes of Halloween period. If I could I'd place them higher on this list, but I mean as much as I love them they're just scarecrows. There's not much too them and others deserved a much higher spot then them. Still I love them, not sure why, but I do! No pun intended, but this one killed two birds with one stone for me as I felt no Halloween shoutout would be complete without crows... and scarecrows aren't complete with them, so there ya go!
Went a little above and beyond on this one, maybe because I like scarecrows a lot or because I had a bunch of ideas I just couldn't fully settle on for the scarecrow but I love how this all came out. I think it has that perfect haunted harvest feel that scarecrows give off.
Now scarecrows are actually quite common in Purgatory, but they're a bit of an anomaly. None are fully sure if people become them after they die or if they're all just naturally sentient but they all tend to be much darker beings. Always watching... plotting... like they're waiting for something... that or they're just drooling idiots. Still they're mostly all bark and no bite, I mean how threatening can something made out of twigs be?
