Part character creation, part ref sheet commission, all delightful panda fun. I simply adore helping people create a character and drawing them for the first time. So far, I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on capturing what the person was looking for in a character, and I'm hoping to do many more in the future.
This character is meant to be easily changed into a male or female to fit the situation, so this drawing is purposefully androgynous. If you change just a few minor details, it should be pretty easy to switch one way or the other. Things like shoulder and neck width, adding eyelashes, or changing whether the back of the hair is straight-cut or fluffed are all easy ways to mess with the perceived gender. You can also lower the nose and bring up the chin.
Anyways, that's just the stuff I thought about while I drew the character. Hopefully that helps any artists that use this ref sheet in the future!
