Slightly on the more overlooked side, especially for the Halloween feel, the evil robot will always be a rather terrifying concept. Going back to what I said about the killer plant, just something being so cold and unfeeling as it causes mass genocide is truly unnerving and I honestly, aside from a bit of comical air I think I summed that feeling up pretty well here! think right after the evil doll, this is the creepiest picture I did! It also happens to be the picture that took me the longest to work out (second only to one that's yet to appear) From the get go I really wanted to draw an old, boxy clunky of a robot much like the tiny drones, but I kept and kept having trouble drawing a large one so I ended up going with a more advanced model, something more War of the Worlds like and I really liked it... unfortunately I still really wanted a big blocky type robot as I've never really drawn that before. It took awhile to work out, but in the end I think it's far better this way!
I've not shown it much in recent year but I love robots, more so in drawing them. All the little details and designs are so intriguing. I guess I blame Megaman for my interest in them. In any case, it was fun to have a chance to draw them again. Since the concept of killer robots has become a more and more popular thing I felt I'd add them in slightly higher then others, but since as stated before they aren't the more "Halloweeny" thing in the bunch I really couldn't place them much higher then this!
Robots aren't exactly a common thing in the Underworld, in fact since anything that ends up there is dead nearly all forms of technology are vastly behind our own there in Purgatory. (of course in technology standards, 'vastly behind' means a few weeks) So most robots seen are probably a form of Golem.
