Now this is actually one I almost forgot/didn't put in. Reason being that hunchbacks aren't monsters, at least not in a traditional sense, but the more I thought on it I remembered how such characters like Igor, Renfield and those damnable Fleamen are about as classic as it gets when it comes to good ole' Hammer style horror. They're pretty much up there with the big name icons themselves, like Dracula and the Frankenstein creature... but since they're the eternal bumbling stooge they can't place much higher then the 20's in this kind of countdown XD
Of course this isn't restricted to just to a 'hunchback', this just sums up the lunatic/minion arch type for this countdown, but as we all know the hunchback always plays that roll so what better to personify it? Despite being reluctant at first to add this in, I'm pretty happy with how it came out!
Hunchbacks are a bit interesting when it comes to Purgatory. It seems that people who were naturally simpering yes men in real life end up with this deformation in the afterlife, almost as if it's the pinnacle shape for toadies. Insanity also runs rampant with this bunch, usually due to the lack of their boss when they were alive and losing all sense of worth without them... then again, they could also just be people with severe scoliosis and we're all terrible people for assuming they're monsters. Now who's the real monster?
