Warm & Dry 003 - Roll Call
Tom gets set for day one at his new school, Debbie ensuring he doesn't miss anything, and that his nerves don't get the better of him.

And yes, I firmly believe school uniforms are purposely designed to be uncomfortable.

Krystal model created by CharleyFox and rigged for Poser by Little_Dragon. Vixen model commissioned from Imago. Textures by FoxyFellowUK.

I've gotta be honest, I'm really looking forward to see what happens next.

Someone's enjoying this?  Woo-hoo!  *Does Kermit Yaaaaaaaay! dance*

Any particular reason why?

I guess one of the big reasons is I haven't seen anything like it before.

I never usually care for 3D art. And I find the lack of rendered fur kind of jarring, but it's also kind of why I like looking at this. Very surreal, and I'm fascinated to see where it goes. I've always wanted to do machinima or 3D renders for some projects of mine, but I'm not good enough at 3D modelling in blender to make anything worth showing. What program are you using?

I use Poser Pro 2012, simply because it's the 3D software I find the most agreeable, the easiest to work with.  Unfortunately it's very inefficient so rendering fur is out of the question; I therefore have to make do with suggesting it through the textures I make, which actually works rather well for me.  I like how it looks.

I can't draw, but I'm a pretty visual person, so 3D is the perfect outlet for that aspect of my creativity, and having spent so long working with it and greatly enjoying it I always find myself annoyed by those who dismiss it apparently without thought.  It's therefore a good feeling to have seemingly opened someone's eyes a little.  I find your use of 'surreal' curious, though, as the intent with this strip was to be down-to-earth, simple and clean, for a number of reasons.  Just the strangeness of it not meeting your expectations, huh?

I meant it was more novel than anything else. I was talking more about the style than the content of the story. 3D just has that affect on me. If I may ask, how long does it take to create each strip?

Ah, OK.  It varies, but generally double figures of hours, including render time.  It can be a fiddly, drawn-out process, sometimes.
