No. 30: Skeleton

Before I even begin, let me just say this. As you may have noticed in my last picture I'm also putting in accompanying songs, just to generally add more effect and put you all more into the Halloween spirit, but of course it's really your call whether or not to listen to it. However, in the case of this specific picture, I really do urge you to listen to "SING,SING,SING" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2S1I_ien6A or any other big band swing song you can think of (this I just found to be the best) while viewing this picture... trust me, it makes it a million times better... I suppose this dance remix of "Spooky, Scary Skeletons" could work too but... it's not the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6-ZGAGcJrk

Now, with that said, may I just say that I truly think I have reached my magnum opus of skeletons with this picture... which is saying a lot for me! It is without a doubt the most fabulous thing I've ever drawn and I love it! Image wise alone I'd have placed this way higher on the list, but as it's just a skeleton it still ranks low. Humorously enough I wasn't even planning on this sort of picture to begin with, this just sort of happened.

I really don't know what, who or when it was mandated that skeletons, of all paranormal beings are to always be the most rhythmic, dance crazed of them all... but I love it! Seriously, save for a few, skeletons always seem to just not give a stone cold fuck and spend their afterlives just dancing or gyrating about. It seems that only the ones that lack are a threat lack any rhythm and I feel they're simply lashing out due to that fact... but I digress!

Skeleton, much like ghosts are extremely common this time of year in fact they may even be more common place then ghosts but since they're harder to draw I bumped them up to the 30th spot.

As for how I represent them in HSDP, skeletons are almost always spirits of the deceased, there are some cases in which they are not such as Grim Reapers... but that will be a subject for another day. Skeletons tend to form when a person dies due to age or had a slightly more interesting death, but still nothing too note worthy. They usually retain more of their former self, but have a tendency to be very eccentric, border lining on idiot savants, seeming to only excel at one thing and do poorly on everything else. Of course, the over whelming need to dance and not give a stone-cold-fuck is engraved in them all, but just in varying degrees.

Bear in mind of course, then when dealing with the afterlife no single thing is set in stone. While this is generally common, there are ALWAYS exceptions and moments where I generally fuck with the very rules I established for the fun of it!~
