My name is Gale. I'm just a Cubone living out in the middle of an expansive desert. My mom passed away not too long ago. I was taken in by my best friend and his family, but since meeting a bubbly Sandshrew, I've been slowly losing him. I didn't realize how much he meant to me, but it doesn't matter. It will never matter. She's prettier than me. She's taller than me. She's older than me. She's funnier than me. She's more talkative than me. She's nicer than me. She's smarter than me. I should be happy that he's made such a good friend... I could never be as good as she is to him. But... but... I really wish... I really wish I could be...

Inspired by one of the stories I'm working on, Deserted. The Cubone there is the main character and she will have her friendship tested when she realizes that her feelings for her best friend are more than she ever would have thought, but also that it might be too late to act upon it.

I love the soft sort of style I gave her, while also giving her those nice, smooth lines. The desert also has a pretty neat effect to it. All-and-all, I'm very pleased with how this turned out, and I'm so using it as one of my wallpapers. That's right, it does make a delightful wallpaper (which is why Gale is off-centered ... well, that and artistic reasons).
