"This cave is... incredibly dark, isn't it?" Tangle thought to himself. Even with the light from his pocket watch, he could barely see a few feet ahead of himself. Being the trained snake he was, he thought his keen sense of vision would have helped him. Of course, by now he was already too deep in the cave to turn back. He had no choice but to continue on and hope his watch didn't run out of power before he could meander back out.

What business the gentleman of a Servine had in this particular cave was of a different matter. While passing by a somewhat mentally unguarded Mawile, he picked up on an intriguing thought. The steel-type had just finished a nice feast, appearing just the slightest bit bloated from all the gems. Piecing together what he could, Tangle quickly figured that the cave was a very popular Sableye hangout, and his mind was fast to consider all the possibilities. Harvesting one of the creatures could turn out to be a very profitable venture in the end.

What the snake found instead was complete and utter dark and damp. Every little step of his heeled feet echoed throughout the wet walls of rock, and the darkness was so thick, you could probably cut it with a knife. Checking the battery on his watch again, he let out a displeased scoff. "Oh, fie! I'll never find one at this rate. Perhaps I should just turn back before I get lost in this dreadful place."
Almost too promptly, a slightly louder drop than all the rest echoed through to the Servine's ears. It sounded extremely close, as if something had fallen near him - maybe even just around the corner! "I'll catch one of you blasted dark-types yet!" he quietly exclaimed, rushing forward with a speedy, near-silent stride.

Rounding the next bend in the rocky hall, Tangle was met with an odd sight. One of his gloved hands reached up for a moment to adjust his monocle, only for him to end up with the same result. Almost directly in front of his face was a Sableye, but not necessarily the right view of one. Tilting his head to the side, he scanned over the small purple backside mere inches away from his nose. His closer eye wandered from the ghost's spread legs, down to his gem-encrusted chest, then even further down to his paralyzed toothy grin. "Um... sir, are you quite alright?" Tangle asked as he shut his watch, trying his best not to let his intentions precede his manners.

"Oh, me? I'm just, y'know, j- fine. Just dandy," the Sableye replied calmly. His body began to lean a bit, his rear end slowly lowering until he was laying flat on his equally gem-filled back. A single hand came up to rub his pointed spike-like ear, shifting it around before plopping back down on the hard ground. Looking closer, Tangle began to notice something off about this particular Sableye. Instead of flat, geometric eyes, he had more round, opal-like eyes. Thinking to himself again, the Servine began to wonder if subpar eyesight was the culprit behind this particular accident.

"Are you quite sure, sir? You appear to have fallen quite firmly on your head. I'd say you'd have died, were you not already dead."

"Pff," the ghost started, waving a hand dismissively. "Nah, what're you talking about. I'm not... n- no sirree, I'm perfectly fine." Little purple arms reached back, pushing against the rock under him as he worked to right himself. Tangle paced around to the ghost's front side as he sat up, leaning over to offer one leafy helping hand to him.

"I'm glad to hear as much, yet I still forget my manners. What is your name, sir?"

"Uh... me?" The Sableye seemed a bit disoriented for a moment, but that feeling quickly subsided. Taking the grass-type's hand, he pulled himself to his feet. Even standing tall though, he had to crane his neck slightly to meet even one of the snake's spiraled eyes. "I'm Crunchy. Who're you?"

"Ah, forgive me. My name is Tangle," the Servine said with a small bow. His free hand quickly hooked his watch back to his suit as he straightened up. "I couldn't help but hear your little mishap a bit away, and to be met with the image I found was... quite unexpected, to say the least."

"Oh. Yeah. That happens sometimes. I just kinda... y'know, go falling around." The Sableye reached up to wipe one of his eyes, his wrist dragging across it with a little squeak.

"I see... Well, at any rate, it is a pleasure to meet you, Crunchy sir." Tangle straightened his spine as he spoke, his hands taking a proper position behind his back. With another nod, he considered introductions over, his mind eager to move on with his plans. "Tell me, do you know how many Sableye live in this cave, much the way you do?"

"How many? Uuuummmm... hmm." It was clear the ghost wasn't concerned with others of his type, his brows lowering a bit at the very thought. "I think, uh... I dunno, can't tell ya. I'm the only one with round eyes, though. I mean, look how smooth..." He trailed off as his little hands raised up again, each one placing itself upon one of his opal eyes. They began to rub in slow, gradual circles, the giddy ghost's mouth murmuring an assortment of unintelligible remarks before ending with a quiet, "...so smooth..."

Deciding he'd had enough of this, Tangle let out a long, hissing sigh. "Yes, quite," he remarked unenthusiastically. Almost immediately after, both his vines shot out from his collar, latching onto and wrapping around Crunchy's wrists tightly.

"HEY, I was RUBBING my EYE-" Not a moment went by before the Servine started moving, tugging the Sableye to his back with very little effort. "WH- WHY ARE YOU- WHAT EVEN IS-"

"I'm claiming you for your gems, sir," Tangle replied coldly. "I'm afraid you won't have much of a choice, but if it's any consolation, I shall buy you similar cubic zirconium copies once I have sold yours."

"WHAT? NO! I DON'T WANNA LOSE MY GEMS! STOP!" The little ghost began to kick and flail his limbs wildly, though none of it seemed to do anything to stop the determined Servine, or even slow him. Working entirely on memory now, Tangle kept along his way towards the cave exit, keeping a very brisk pace. All the while, Crunchy just dragged along behind him, whining and struggling as best he could.

The commotion carried on most of the way back, the grass snake's patience beginning to run thin after the first ten or so minutes. "Fine!" he exclaimed, stopping right under a crack in the cave's ceiling. His vines pulled back into his collar with a distinct whoosh, his slender form turning around to face the Sableye. "If you want to throw so much of a fuss, I suppose I'll just have to restrain you even further!"

"NO! NOT LIKE TH-" Before he could complain any more, he found the Servine leaping at him. Even without a truly serpentine body, Tangle was able to wrap himself completely around the Sableye, the both of them rolling along the rocky ground for a bit. Mere moments passed before they came to a stop, Crunchy's entire body pressed tightly in the middle of Tangle's much longer and thicker form.

"Sssstop... ssstruggling..." the snake hissed out breathily. He wasn't coiled as tight as he could have been, but as the ghost kept on struggling, he kept on tightening. No matter what he did though, Crunchy's smaller shape would still twitch and shake around, little bursts of frantic pleas escaping past the snake's smooth hide. "Ffffffffine, sir! If you really mean it to be that way!"

Tangle shifted himself around the ghost a bit, bringing his head closer to one of those purple pointed ears. His tongue flicked out for a moment before he opened his mouth, inhaling until his lungs were completely full. With a small squeak, he forced his mouth down, taking in most of the purple extremity in an instant. A few more seconds of work sent an echoing SNAP through the rest of the cave, the grass-type's jaw dislocaing with audible violence.

Two little triangular fangs began to press into the Sableye's ghostly body as Tangle worked to engulf more and more of his form. The Servine's jaw was getting quite a ways away from its original position, stretching especially wide to take in the mojority of the Sableye's head. Tangle thought to himself again just as he managed to fit Crunchy's second ear in, beginning to wonder if this was a genuinely good idea; after all, he was wearing a suit, and having a whole Sableye filling his belly could potentially damage it beyond repair.

Uncoiling from Crunchy's desperate form, Tangle relaxed himself along the ground. His cheeks bulged with the entirety of the Sableye's head, he took a moment to consider the task at hand. His lips idly sucked at the neck keeping them apart, but it didn't take long for his mind to set his body into motion. Reaching down, the snake began to undo the buttons along his front, his suit gradually opening wider and wider until its sides were hanging completely apart.

With another deep breath, Tangle began to swallow again. Unlike before, these swallows were much more intentional, a good couple of them managing to stuff the Sableye's whole head down into Tangle's throat. His neck began to bulge a seemingly painful amount, but being the snake he was, he quickly acclimated to the sensation. Gulp after gulp, the smaller Pokémon was dragged deeper into the short serpent, purple arms soon being pinned to the Sableye's side. Tangle's maw stretched wider than ever to accommodate the increased girth sliding past his lips, all that struggling slowly dying down to a more manageable intensity.

Crunchy's head finally slipped past the base of Tangle's neck, soon pressing right between the snake's heart and lungs. Each thump of the living creature's system filled his ears, slowly lulling him into a less combative state. Even if the Servine was cold-blooded, there was still a slight bit of extra warmth amidst his flesh. Combined with the snake's extra-slimy saliva, it only served to rub that heat into the rock ghost, confusing him even more than he already had been. Within moments, Tangle's maw sealed away the Sableye's elbows and belly, leaving only his hands, hips and legs to wiggle freely in the dank air.

Tangle's thin forked tongue slipped out for a moment, curling up between Crunchy's legs as he took another deep breath. The sound of rushing air filled the Sableye's ears as his head was smushed between inflating lungs, the tension in the snake's esophagus rising by the second. Knowing full well what he was doing, the Servine began to pull back on his tongue, holding his breath as he took another well-timed gulp. In an instant, all that pressure was relieved. Crunchy's head shot down through the rest of the Servine's throat, eliciting a firm twitch from the euphoric snake. Tangle sighed as he felt those hips rocket down into his neck, only the Sableye's little clawed feet left sticking out of his mouth.

With a slightly quieter snap, the serpent's jaw locked back into place, his lips coming together around Crunchy's ankles. His tongue slipped out one final time, wrapping around and between those claws as he slowly sucked them in, his lips readily sealing up behind them. One final swallow was all it took to send them on their way, Crunchy's entire body neatly tucked away within his own. Inside his belly, he began to feel the smaller 'mon curling up, stretching his hide almost to an uncomfortable amount.

Sighing, the snake looked down at himself. His monocle nearly popped off at the sight of his own distended belly, a single surprised hiss escaping his pointed snout. "Well..." He cleared his throat as he rolled onto his side, reaching over for his hat; apparently in all the commotion, he'd lost enough focus on it for it to fall off. Placing it back on his head, he rolled over some more, this time directly onto his Sableye-filled stomach. He began to rock back and forth purposefully, each time bringing his head, then his tail closer to the ground. With a final shove, he righted himself, stumbling around on his tiny legs from all his added weight.

His hands placed themselves firmly on his exposed beige hide, small clacks echoing throughout the cave as he continued clumsily towards the exit. "Ugh, you simply had to make a big deal out of this, didn't you?" His words weren't directed particularly at Crunchy, but somewhat at himself, scolding himself for getting so thoroughly carried away. Leaving the little lighted spot where he'd stopped, he kept on his way, already planning how he was going to get the darned ghost out of himself. He didn't exactly want to think about it, but he didn't have a choice either. He couldn't tend to his clients looking like this!

Even still, he couldn't help but feel sorry for the Sableye also. He did just walk in here and claim Crunchy for himself. "Ffffff, drat..." He began to regret coming by in the first place. It all seemed to have ended worse than he'd hoped, save for the distinctly full feeling he was enjoying. In the end though, he probably wouldn't steal Crunchy's gems. After all, for all the trouble he'd put the poor thing through, he may as well try to make it up in the end. He just hoped the ghost wouldn't make him even more sorry before then.

by Tangle
This story was written for two different reasons. For one, it is Mejjers' birthday today, and I wanted to do something special for him involving his Sableye, Crunchy. Also, it's the first anniversary of the creation of Tangle as a character, strangely enough, on the same day.  I supposed it would be worthwhile to take a quick moment to scratch something out in that case, and that's exactly what I did.

I would like to say happy birthday to Mejjers first and foremost, and I hope he enjoys the story. Perhaps I'll write more if the mood strikes. Don't be afraid to leave comments and such on the quality of my writing either. I know I'm not bad, but I'm always looking to improve where possible.
