This is Model 17, a third generation auto functioning android with a polymer plastic base. Known for their durability, these were the first of a series of bigger more powerful models, but these were the original workhorses of the bunch. They were even considered for Wonderbolt use, but misinformation spread in the Foal Free Press about security issues the plastic base might cause for aerial use. Their Teni-“fur” (Christ that sounds dumb) finish made these concerns obsolete. Their high capacity cells also made the public nervous and were for a brief period banned. Their popularity led to demand for bigger models (busts) and the manufacturer complied. My favorite aspect is “compensated” models have been manufactured with extra “holes” bored into them for easier handling in certain fields.
