Today I finished all 54 episodes of Kyatto Ninden Teyandee and gotta say I loved this character. It was funny how some of the tropes from Jidai Geki films that portray shinobi as people who lived hard lives where played out comically with Karamaru and enjoyed episodes that gave him spotlight like when he takes a part time job at the Pizza Cats (which turns out brings him great joy and show that he's actually a really nice likable guy), when he remembers how everyone admired him back at Karakara village (I laughed and at the same time felt a lot of sympathy for him when at the end of the episode his dream is unceremoniously shattered and breaks to tears in a hilarious manner) or his childhood friend who loves him and at one point decides to abandon the girl, only for near the end of the series to find her again on the same spot and becoming moved by her faith and loyalty. I was happy to see that things turned out good for him and wish the show had continued to see him join Yattaro and the others as a reformed ninja.
