G4 –G1 Raver Rainbow Dash

Generation 4 My Little Pony Friendship is Magic pony Rainbow Dash redesigned as a generation 1 custom pony figure in the raver style.

Pony base is engineered from two different generation 1 ponies. Body of green Medley pony, head from the orange sparkle body pony.
Full body repaint with a base layer of Gesso, then several layers of a custom hand blend of acrylics. Cutie mark and eyes also painted in acrylic paints by me.
Sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in RetrodollUS’s Jonquil yellow, Dollyhair’s passion fruit and marmalade orange nylon mlp hair, RestoreDoll’s Katsilk Ruby red, then dollyhair’s nylon mlp guacamole green, bluebell and ultraviolet. Mane permanently hardened in my hair gel method.

Accessory embellishments-
Started with the front leg details. Stitched neon green and dark blue mesh materials together for one leg, double-layered pink mesh on the other leg with neon pink mesh on bottom layer, large magenta mesh over top. Detailed in ribbons, green scarf material and neon red bias tape, then red maxi piping.

Hooded accessory-
Started with a triangular shape of zebra print wide ribbon liked with red maxi piping as a tank top, with coral red material stitched to it as a hood. Has pale aqua draw strings. Black chains to finish.

Entire pony is embellished with various strings of plastic rainbow pony beads strung on floral wire. Glass hoop beads accent the hair.
Long string of beads in alphabet letters strung across back and across one shoulder, spell out “Rainbow Dash”.
Embellished with cerulean blue chain.

Shoes-
Started with rainbow cotton material as socks. Then turquoise leather for the shoes, with white leather strips used for the lace and lining. Embellished with pearl and metallic rhinestones. Same rhinestones repeated on the wings.

Tail has green, purple and orange curled hair extensions purchased from a craft or boutique store and are attached to the yellow bias tape that’s tied in a bow.
