DO NOT LISTEN WITH HEADPHONES ON!!!
seriously, the claps/snares are dumb loud. I didn't realize the HIGH snaps were when I made this because of the headphones I was using, but hey, whatever. I also made this the same time I made "A Date in Space" (another shitty song that's not on here it's on FA, but I do plan on remaking it for both) but it was to big at the time until I learned how to change the size. BUT, enough Radda Radda, listen, enjoy, relax to my shitty shitty Lounge music

drop a comment to tell me how good/bad/ok or however I've did! Gods Blessings PEOPLE!!!!

I'd say put some lyrics on there and you have a hip-hop song.  I didn't find it to be a lounging kind of song.
What'd you make it with?
I'll go out on a limb here and offer some other thoughts.  Firstly, a 7 minute song is impressive.  There was some repetition, but you hid it well enough.  Transitions are alright.  Instrumentation is probably the biggest problem; I can't tell what you were going for because of the instruments you used.  They kinda put me on edge (which was neat, but not your intention).

wow, THANKY YOU, I'm at a lost for words, because I never thought that it would be considered it to be a hip-hop track let alone, that 7 mins is impressive.

I'm using demo version of Fruity Loops Studio 10. I don't really have the space on the laptop I'm using. PLUS my cash is a little tight at the moment.

I been listening to some Nujabes, Fat Jon, Tsutchie, Flying Lotus, Pogo, Renard V (softer stuff), etc etc. & also this album called "Dreams" but this calib. group (I'm guessing )  that go by "Lyfstyl" & I was/am attempting to grab the idea of "soft, relaxed, & smooth" type of music, that would be thought was "Lounge, Chill, Calm" music. & as for the lyrics... heh... I don't know how to set up my mic(...yet) & I would really write lyrics for other songs not something like this.

Well, the length of a song seems easier for me to make if it's like... 5mins & up because I get to stretch everything to make it sound more clear, clean, & better. buuut, as for the loops, I always hear them whether it's Electronica, Hip-Hop, Hardcore, Metal... or whatever, I didn't think it would be something not  to push or use, because well... you hear loops EVERYWHERE, so... you know.

heh, I'm not sure how to reply to this, so I'll just say this... I was really just going with the flow, I like(d) certain sounds, hits, & instruments that I like to slap together time & again (which is all the time)so... yeah....

"
Transitions are alright."[/center]
thank you, I have been taking A LOT of notes from....every song I've listen(ed) too.

& what did you mean "
they kinda put me on edge", could you elaborate

Fruity Loops is fine.  It gets a lot of flak in the music scene, but it's just a tool.  It does what I need and I haven't found any other tool that's as helpful to me.  Free demo version is nice, too.

I don't really keep up well with musicians, so I haven't heard of any you have mentioned.  If it helps, I had in mind the hiphop artist Sage Francis when I heard this track - the music he sometimes uses.

'repetition and length'
If a track is several minutes long and is a plain set of looped music, I probably wouldn't say anything good about it.  You did the next couple of steps above that by having some pitch sequence variation spread out far enough that a regular listener might not notice the loops if they're not listening for it.  Having instruments come in and out of the mix helps a lot.  If I can pick five random spots in a song and hear a different assortment of instruments playing at each point, that's usually a good sign.

"...I was really just going with the flow, I like(d) certain sounds, hits, & instruments that I like to slap together..."
This is absolutely fine.  I can't really give much more commentary here with only this one track published, but I try to encourage all musicians to experiment a bit until they can find what really works for them.  Besides, I'm no expert.

"put me on edge"...ah, this is hard to explain.  The proper explanation involves parts of music theory that I don't know.  The practical explanation is that the uh backwards sounding synth pushes the tone that last bit over the edge for me when it's already a little dark.  That kinda goes back to the instrument choices.  Your percussion sounds, the pacing, that lower piano part, it doesn't sound like the lounge genre to me.
Don't read into what I'm saying too much here.  Do you like your work?  Did you enjoy making it?  Do you want to make this kind of music because you like lounge music or because you like what happens when you try to make it?  You can consider these questions to be rhetorical.
