A little while after establishing her friendship with Twilight, Pinkie noticed that her purple friend would occasionally become annoyed at Pinkie's tendency to surprise her with hugs. Always willing to try and make her friends happier, Pinkie thought long and hard and eventually figured out that Twilight wasn't irritated by her hugging, but the fact that it some times interrupted her reading. Naturally, Pinkie sought to rectify this issue by the most obvious course of action she could think of: hugging a part of Twilight that wouldn't interrupt her reading. Strangely, the first time the pink one tried this resulted in the book horse blushing profusely and stuttering about them being in public, to which Pinkie responded with an explanation of her actions in her usual bubbly demeanor. As time went on, the novelty (and blushing) rapidly decreased until this common occurrence didn't phase Twilight or any of their friends.
