Phew. I've had this idea for a new fur character in a less ideal setting than Denshire Falls for a while. Did some sketches up and damn if I haven't taken forever to get this one one. But here we have it. First pic of a new feline character and it's a comic. ^^

Tyler took a deep breath once the bell rang at the end of the day. Today was the day. Jeff was a ferret he shared a number of classes with and for the last year or so as Tyler discovered while most boys were looking at the girls he was finding himself most often looking at other boys. Which made this crush all the more difficult. Tyler had heard enough to know that liking boys like that wasn't exactly going to land him as mister popular. He was already a lower rung kid on the popularity scale. Poor family, single mom, good in most of his classes save gym and trailing a bit in math. Beyond that he had another secret that needed to be kept as well beneath his jeans. But today he was going to do it. He loved Jeff and Jeff certainly didn't seem like the mean jocks that called everything gay. Indeed they liked some of the same TV shows and movies and Tyler didn't really see Jeff looking around for a girlfriend. So maybe it was meant to be. It'd be a weight lifted off his shoulders to share this with just one other person he really cared about and would be there when it inevitably came out. So that was it. Tyler resolved to ask Jeff to the dance and see what would happen.

"Hey..." Tyler started trailing a bit as he walked over to Jeff at his locker.

"Huh?" Jeff said turning to look to Tyler who swallowed and decided the best thing to do was to get it out quick.

"Jeff. I um... was wondering. I mean. There's the D-dance next week and w-well I don't have anyone to go with. W-would you consider...going with me? It'd be really nice." Tyler asked stumbling over his words here and there with nervousness. Which went largely un-noticed by Jeff as his face contorted with confusion and then anger that boiled over.

"God! Why? You too? I Am NOT Gay! Great even your in on this! Fuck off faggot! Just leave me the hell alone! Everyone! Gah!" Jeff yelled at the top of his lungs as anger boiled over. Over the last year he'd been getting called gay at every turn but a number of the jocks and other students even though he wasn't and now to his mind even the lowest rung kid was above him. And everyone in ear shot heard about it.

"O-ok...*sniff*..I...I didn't...I...S-sorry" Was all Tyler could choke out as it felt as though his heart was crushed in his chest and tears welled in his eyes as others gawked at the situation and began to chatter.

"Hey you hear that?"

"Hah! The kitty's a lil faggot."

"Noway! Hah! Look he's crying!" Came the jibes of the other students as finally his legs moved snatching his backpack off the floor where he sat it he ran down the hall towards the exit hearing one last shout of "Yeah run on home to mommy gay boy!"

Tyler wished he could have done exactly that. As he entered their apartment his ears listened in vain for any sound. His mother was at work with another night shift again and wouldn't be home for hours. Tyler sniffled and trudged to his room. He changed for the evening putting on his night shirt and exchanging his soaked disposable diaper for the cloth ones he wore at home to cut down cost. Once done Tyler collapsed to his bed and buried his face in his pillow as his tears came freely. He'd taken a chance for love and now his heart was broken and he wasn't sure he'd be able to put it back together again.
