Olaf, on the right, is a relatively young soldier. His youth causes him to be recklessly brave due to his inexperience.
Frenzel, on the left, is the platoon sniper - he carries a scoped Mauser K98 and is considered one of the best shots in Messler's command. A little older than Olaf, he is more severe and world-weary in demeanor, with his comrades often considering him comically serious.
