I used to be a bit of a cartoonist, doing things similar to what you would see in a newspaper comic strip. for years I have wanted to branch away from that into more realistic art. this is my first successful attempt in that new art style and is I believe one of my best drawings. the fox in the picture is based on my grandfather who plays a variety of instruments, favoring the fiddle and banjo. he's such an important person in my life that it was fairly easy to snap up a mental picture for this.
