Looks like whatever treasure or room Kain was trying to get to in these underground dungeons had quite a brute of a monster guarding it... And it wasn't happy to see Kain trespassing. But despite the monster being over twice his height (and much times past his strength) didn't stop Kain from letting him know he wasn't taking no for an answer on getting what he wants...
