Nice to see a artist that decides to go back to the joy of painting instead of just monetary gain!

Monetary gain didn't cover the drainage... I feel such a waste difference when I draw for pay and when I draw for fun, and the fun-feel is definitively preferred! Fun-time is happy-time!

Yeah, it sucks when you burn yourself by feeling forced to churn artwork.

*hugs* Thats great! It takes alot of strength to learn ones joys and what one wishes to do their talents. Not all want to use them to gain money some just wish to enjoy their work and let others do the same!

It took me a bit of time to realize I wasn't cut out for that stuff. But I'm glad I managed to just say it out loud and not have to stress my brain any more about it now! <3

With art one should never force it be that by trying to draw when you can't or trying to draw for the wrong reason. Im happy to hear when a fellow artist finds that reason. Good on you and I can't wait to see more from you

This is why I don't take requests or commissions, it's not so fun drawing something someone else wants you to draw, I always lose motivation and it turns into more of a chore than fun. Glad you're still going to make more art though =D

This is exactly how it feels for me too! A few quick requests on very rare occasions can work, but then I choose which ones to draw and how much time and effort I put in to them (and I take more artistic freedoms) ;) But drawing just for my self is always the most fun!

Baraturts

i just want drawing to be fun and games, no as little pressure as possible. And even tho feet isn't a personal pref. of mine, there's bound to sneak some in to the frame now and then :P

It's a pity we can't commission you anymore because your stuff is amazing, but your boundaries are VERY important and I'm sure we'd all rather you dropped the commissions and kept creating stuff you love, than forced yourself to keep working for money to the point where your brain nopes out and you can't art at all anymore.
Baraturts

You put my feels on commissions pretty accurately in to words. My brain just ended up "noping" and I lost motivation to draw at all. Some people just aren't made for commissions, and I'm apparently one of them XD I just need to draw for my own amusement and keep it a hobby, I don't need another job on top of my regular full time job. Too much pressure...
