Because there's always someone out there who's uninitiated: Jennifer is referring to an invention dear to my heart during my fanfict years, and probably the sole good thing I kept from that era: Take a standard latte, but instead of reaching for flavoring syrup, you go to the back of the store, grab some syrup of Mountain Dew for the soda fountain and depth charge a full shot of that. Preferably a flavored version like Baja Blast or Livewire. In fact, I thought of this drink when Mountain Dew brought out that orange-flavored drink, which I loved until I decided to get semi-serious about my weight. (You're on notice, Pepsico! Make more Dew flavors Diet!) Hence the name, "Livewire Latte" and the caffeine content probably requires a prescription. If you slam it down, you experience bullet time, it's that fricking powerful. It comes with a disclaimer "Do not expect to sleep for 2-3 days." In some alternate universes, they use this in lieu of one of those AED! I think that's what a Megalixer is supposed to taste like too….I'll shut up now.
There's two new additions I make with this strip, one of them is more visible. I added a 'stripe' to the comic. I did this because the story is going to branch off again, and I thought an extra section of comic page real estate was in order. After all, this is a web comic, after all. You can always add more length. There's plenty of other web comics out there who decided to skip the page dimensions and decide to just stretch out.
The second one is that this is the first page that I used Manga Studio 5 in the inking. I got it for a bargain thanks to an Amazon offer, which caused me to buy it even when I was planning to wait til July to get it. I liked the uniform ink pens that Manga Studio has, but I have to tell ya: Being used as I am to inking by hand, switching to a tablet to ink your comics will need some getting used to. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating the obvious. I'm sure things will improve with practice, and learning more about the program with each week. But for now I'll still be swapping between Manga Studio, GIMP, and Draw Plus for my work.   I'll use Manga Studio to redo the illustrations in the Revolver Princess RPG as well.
