Someone's had too much Chuckola Cola, huh?

So, on an almost unrelated note, Yoshi's New Island is out! I bought it today, I played for a couple hours so far. I also saw that some reviews were pretty hard on it, too, which is kinda disappointing.
No, you got it right – the reviews are disappointing. I'll be frank, as I played for the first hour, I felt the game was a bit underwhelming, but really, right now, I'm despising myself for even having thought that way. The game is really great, just as the original one on SNES was. They're both pretty similar, just like NSMBW and NSMBU are (and I love 'em both too).

Still, I admit that if they had announced they'd postpone the release to work on it a bit more, I wouldn't have said no. It's great to live the past again, but innovation is good too... Nah, what am I saying? The game's got plenty of innovation – it's just very subtle.
