It sounds like he worships Oghma, the god of Travel, Knowledge, and using wrestling matches to settle philosophical debates.

not a bad idea, but plot wise I have him worshiping his own self made god/religion/stuff that was written on the side of his face after a long night of drinking with a tanuki ^^
