ANother problem is that they FORCE pikachu on you in Yellow and I wanted the eevee that they tease you with. I love how you can custom color them easy though. I find that hard to do...

I remember that well, I think it's because Yellow tried to follow the anime (which is why Red looks more like Ash and Blue looked more like Gary and the random battles with Jessie and James)

yet that is ALL that follows the show other than Lt Surge only haveing a Raichu and some of the pokemon available and a graphics update...

also Erika's team became Gloon, Weepinbell, and Tangela. Sabrina's team became Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam. Koga's team was changed to Venonant x2, and Venomoth. Giovanni's team was changed to him having Persian in his teams.

that is true and Pikachu following Ash on screen and being the first to use the happiness system later perfected in Gen 2 and beyond
