The first piece in a small series I did for Anthrocon 2010. The theme was prehistory, and being a bit of a nerd in that department I couldn't help doing several themed pieces =P
So this one is the first that I did, a little microraptor (one of the feathered dinosaurs). I had a lot of fun making up his colors based on both those of modern birds and artist's interpretations of dinosaurs. I did leave off the second set of wings on his legs, they didn't really look right here and I had seen drawings of microraptors without them anyways.
