I finally got to posting this auction up on Furbuy! I wanted to make something kind of different than my usual artwork when I made this, and I did so by choosing a color palette and a theme of shapes before actually deciding what to draw. I went with vibrant blues and greens, with brownish-gold accents, and tried to make everything a tear-drop shape, so it's all soft/flowing curves. On a subtler note, I wanted this piece to reflect how music 'feels' to me. It's hard to describe, but I think of lots of rises and dips when I listen to music, and I think the rounded, tear-drop shapes in the image kind of show that (I hope... maybe?). As for why it's a parrot... well, that should be pretty obvious, ha.
