I only found out it was their birthday yesterday, when uh, well when it was their birthday (oops). So I spent today making this up in a sorta hurry. Josie and Jas have switched clothes, and Josie decides she just has to take a picture. She even shared a spot of lipstick (implied indirect kissing, hooooooo). Also yes, I'm aware they're clothes wouldn't actually fit each others' bodies, so in my head canon they raided the clothing department Josie works at and found close approximations of each others' style.
Nice work on them clothes, sweetie! Hope you don't mind me using those jeans as a ref? ^^' 'Cuz the way i drew mine looks kinda incomplite and i want to change it.

Cool! Thank you! ^w^ I still try to draw out of imagination, to make it work better on it's own, but when it comes to things i'm not used to, it gets messed up.. And after all, i still bound to use some refs to make it look better. *sighs*

I honestly think it helps more to use a reference at first, and then once your understand the object/pose/etc., you can draw from imagination and get more creative with it. Likes learning the building blocks before you build your own castle, ya know?

Yeah. I do know that. But actually i end up wasting twice more time sketching the project till it looks right, redrawing few parts to get them the way they should be (as i draw only traditional way, paper looks all messy afterwards. XD) And if i can't come up with right way how to draw certain parts, i use reference. As they say - making your own mistake help you learn the right way better, than hearing about it from someone else. It kinda works for me in art too. ^^'
