Okay, so.... Before I come under fire, I promise I did not trace. I had an image of Ariel open in my browser and drew her in Paint Tool SAI in the next window over. Unfortunately for all, now you have to suffer a furry Disney Princess. However, l do love how her coloring came out. I was a little worried about making her a blue/seafoam Otter, but I feel her ear looks a little awkward and disjointed. Hrm.... :/ Overall, I tried to keep as much of her similar to the original art, just otter-fied her nose, skin and ears. Every time I tried to do a muzzle on her, she felt more like a cosplaying Otter in lipstick. x__x
Why a sea otter? 'Cuz Ariel is playful, curious and mischievous. It felt right to me. Yes, she still has the fish tail. -Sighs- Trying to add an otter tail in that little hole in her alcove felt cluttered.
