I created a bunch of scenarios with blank boxes (text under the panel). I rolled a dice to decide what numbers would go into the boxes using a 12 sided die. If it landed on 12, I re-rolled. I gave each of my characters a number from 1-11. This method of storytelling was fun as it made some interesting character pairings that I would not have thought of. It also gave me some freedom with the characters as it was not constrictive with the details. I wrote a few pages of scenarios out on paper and I plan to give a good crack at illustrating them!
