I remember my mother's pet rats doing so! XD Everytime you try to smooch their adorable wiggly noses, they'll make grimases and dive back in your palm, trying to hide in their own, folding like hood, pelt. But failing at it. Then they put tiny paws on your lips in denyal and shuffle their teeth unamused! XD So adorable~<3

This would eventually lead to Angel discovering how to slap, causing Fluttershy to snap to attention and deciding to try and change the angry rabbit with kindness, never realizing rabbits are actually dicks. Thus beginning the painful, emotionally and physically abusive relationship which would eventually become the inspiration for Equestria's answer to Cops.
