This one was inspired by "The Wind In The Dunes / Le Vent Dans Les Sables / Der Wind In Den Dünen" from Michel Plessix, a comic sequel of Kenneth Grahame's novel "The Wind In the Willows". A marvelous  piece of art I strongly recommend.

One of the encounters in the book was a tribe of the so called "blue foxes", Plessix version of the Tuareg.
For my picture I decided to replace the fennec with a jerboa. And for a more believable scale let him ride a spiny-tailed lizard instead of a dromedary. Also, it gave me a excuse to draw something scaly, rather rare in my portfolio ;)
