Here is a picture of my velveteen dark lord. A rabbit necromancer I created a while ago and illustrated by the wonderful pyromancy

Hes unusualy in one that he carries an enchanted macuahuitl rather then more conventional weapons, and despite being a rabbit and not a carnivor hes a very hands on sort of dark lord and knows the best way to win hearts and minds of the rabble is straight through ribcage and skull respectivly

I like him. But then I think the Addams Family is good, clean entertainment for children. The idea he uses a macuahuitl is interesting, since it was designed to injure more than kill. The Aztecs, of course, preferred live sacrifices for later. For a necromancer, it would provide more intact bodies to raise.

you mean Adams family isn't for children?   I thought that was basicly a 64 episode guide to raising a healthy child...  I've been emulating fester for so long... oh dear

I based the necromancer in my necromantic story (I havent posted that here yet) around my idea of this necromancer.  though that ones a cat (almost went with the pun Nekomancer)  I like to think if I could raise the dead I'd be more creative then the casual zombie horde.

one of my favorites are my deadline.   Its a weapon weilded by the Gigants (massive 4 headed zombie solders made from multiple corpses)   The Deadline  Is a zombie torso,  its legs are removed and a heavy block is stuffed into its chest cavity, with metal spikes, and barbed hooks driven into the block through the corpse.  the Gigant swings a huge length of chain attached to the block in the zombie,  It can crush a foe, impaling it on the barbs and spikes even as the deadline itself claws and grips at the enemies its swung into.    Its slams down and crushes a man at arms,  then the torso skitters forward on his hands gripping another solders leg just as the chain is pulled back dragging the second soldier into range of the gigant
