It looks like Merry hasn't done shit, so of course Chucky is going to help her out. This is the most characters I've had on one page and in one panel for a while. It was fun but took some work.

Also..just curious..how come they're not using tablets or laptops for this. Wouldn't the school have issued them to the students or given them some kind of discount for purchasing them? I wouldn't think you could even enter the classroom of a math heavy class like aerodynamics or navigation without a personal computing device of some kind.

They probably should, but since my college life was before most of that stuff, it's hard for me to think along those lines. Honestly, it didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it just now. But for working out physics problems, a pencil and paper may still be the best tool. Of course they'd at least have paw-held calculators too.

Actually this was how my class did their works and studies (in physics), and this was two years ago. The math profs up there are REALLY big on "showing your work". So everything was basically pencil and paper for us. I was also like Merry- if it didn't count towards my grade... I didn't do it. >///> definitely would have saved me some anguish come test day. I'm willing to bet that if this is that kind of teacher, then the test problems are gonna be the exact/similar problems to the homework- with different numbers of course. :b

I can see that. I also realized that they would at some point have to know how to get results by hand in the field simply because if their devices were disabled or lost or they didn't have access to them and they DIDN'T know how to figure out problems in their heads they'd be truly and totally boned! I think that most classes DO stress that at some point, the students HAVE to be able to figure out navigational equations without computers for just such a contingency so you're probably right in making them do things "the hard way". :D They may not like it, but it's defiantly for their own good and the safety of everyone.
Also I forgot to add in my first comment that your depiction of body language and facial expressions is probably the best of anyone on this site. Little things like Merry sitting on her hands or Adam chewing on his pencil are just perfect! :D

ive been on both sides of this in different classes. in math, i couldn't care less and i'd b e perfectly content to just slide by. In Social Study classes, the Humanities, i'd absorb it as fast as i possibly could.
