A sketch commission that I got from

Ajin at Califur 2008 of my character, Bartolo the street musician, doing what he does. He's actually supposed to look a bit different from this now (he's got some raccoon in him,) but Ajin did some great work on it (especially considering my rather pitiful off-the-cuff verbal description,) and I treasure the original of this because it brought to life for the first time something that has been deeply meaningful and empowering for me.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: As a courtesy to artists, if you're going to be commissioning something of a character you don't have references for, be prepared enough to have WRITTEN DOWN a decent description of them that mentions any and all features that you consider important. Try and be less dumb than I am, why don't ya.
